Electric Bicycles: "E-Bikes" Technology changes in recent years has seen the introduction of a variety of small, battery powered vehicles. A number of provinces have amended their legislation to allow these vehicles to be used on sidewalks and public roads. On October 3,2006, Ontario introduced a three-year pilot project to permit electric bikes (e-bikes) to be used anywhere normal bicycles are allowed, as controlled by municipal by-laws. See more....
